Live Betting (In-Play)

Placing bets on a game while it's in progress, with odds that update in real time.

Last updated:

Live betting (also called in-play or in-game betting) allows you to place wagers after a game has started, with odds adjusting in real time based on the score, time remaining, and momentum shifts.

Live betting now accounts for a large and growing share of total handle at sportsbooks. The markets move fast, and the models that set live odds can sometimes lag behind what's actually happening on the field.

Because of the speed required, live betting can be more susceptible to emotional decisions. Successful live bettors typically have pre-planned scenarios and target specific situations rather than reacting impulsively.
