BetMGM is a 50/50 joint venture between MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) and London-listed Entain plc, formed in 2018 and powered by Entain's GVC technology stack. It launched online betting in New Jersey in 2018 and operates online sportsbooks in roughly two dozen US jurisdictions as of April 2026: AZ, CO, DC, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS (retail), NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TN, VA, WV, and WY. The headline April 2026 offer in most states is the First Bet Offer up to $1,500 in bonus bets: deposit at least $10, place your first wager, and if it loses BetMGM refunds the stake (up to $1,500) in bonus bets within 24 hours. Prop depth on NFL and NBA is solid but trails DraftKings by 10-15% in market count on a typical Sunday. Same Game Parlay is branded One Game Parlay and supports cross-game combos.

The standout product feature is the Edit My Bet tool, which lets you swap legs in or out of a live parlay or remove losing legs for a reduced payout — a feature DraftKings and FanDuel both replicated later. BetMGM also has the most integrated retail-to-mobile experience: a Vegas guest can fund a mobile account at the M life desk and cash out at the cage.
