Sleeper was among the ten DFS operators that received cease-and-desist letters from the Massachusetts Attorney General in early 2024 over its pick'em product. Sleeper has also added New York to its excluded states list after the state Gaming Commission's 2024 rules banning DFS contests that "have the effect of mimicking proposition betting" took effect. Sleeper Picks is blocked in New York, and the company explicitly states the Picks product is unavailable in NY on its support pages. The free season-long fantasy product continues to operate nationwide.
